The Chipmunk Axe. This is currently the lightest of our Tomahawks.
A working axe, ideal for one-handed use. The axe is balanced on a 60 cm handle.
It can be used with either one-handed or two-handed grip.
Its primary uses are hiking, walking hunts, and weekend getaways.
I've personally defined the following areas of use: long hiking trips, fishing trips, when an axe is needed for overnight accommodations, chopping firewood for a camp sauna, and also for use in the car. We live in the taiga region, where a fallen tree across the road is not uncommon.
The axe can also be used for off-road use on all-terrain vehicles. Clearing paths for ATVs or snowmobiles. Organizing river crossings. Starting a fire, chopping kindling, splitting firewood, and making firewood. The range of tasks is quite broad, limited more by your imagination.
The wide, striking blade helps you drive a peg or nail. You don't need to aim carefully; the blade's surface is wide and flat. The blade's sharp edges are designed for cutting cables or bones.
Overall, an interesting, lightweight, and quite versatile hatchet.
