Superpowered Audio Engine for Games, Music and Interactive Audio Apps on Android, iOS & OSX.

Low Latency Audio. Cross Platform. Free.

Speaker 1: So, moving on to some slightly different topics. So, for people looking to integrate Superpowered with game engines like Unity, how do you get low latency audio there?

Speaker 2: First route is to play the good guy. The good guy’s route is like Unity has a-- according to the documentation, at least has a native audio plugin SDK where you can register your own process callback. And into the process callback, you can put your own audio processing code and of course you can use Superpowered code there because, remember, Superpowered works on raw buffers. So, there is absolutely no special requirements. But there is also the bad guy’s route, meaning by passing Unity’s audio engine, why bypassing that, because the result is lower latency and high performance Superpowered audio engine is, you know, better than Unity’s audio engine. And how do you bypass Unity’s audio engine? It’s quite simple. Just initialize the Superpowered things before you touch Unity. So, Unity will have no chance to initialize its own things because Superpowered was first and one application can have only one connection to the audio system on iOS, android, or Mac OS X.
