Built by my father also Dave and myself (name complication not my fault haha) 12 yrs ago,
Finished in klass kote paint (from fighter aces).
Won the Ted Allison Memorial trophy at the beginning of the season in May.
The Nose art is of 425 alouette squadron,
based at dishforth in the uk 1942 - 1944,

It’s a CNC kit supplied by SLEC from the Tony Nijhuis plan.
13 feet span.
9 feet long.
The whole thing was covered in black solartex and spray painted with cellulose car paint. Roundels and lettering sprayed with an airbrush using Humbrol enamel.
Engines are Standard Zenoah 26.
Radio is a twin rx set up on Futaba.
Hitek servos.
No gyro.
Retracts are made by unitracts.
The only deviation from the plan was the addition of four split flaps to facilitate slower landings. They are not needed for take off.
The model was made in 2016/2017 when the dry max weight was 20Kg and it came out just under that so tail gunners were not fitted but they could now of course as the wet weight max is 25Kg.
I need to get that done together with some nose art.
I built the whole thing for once (from start to finish) as I generally buy other peoples unfinished projects to save time.
So as my old maths teacher used to say,
