We're meeting Krystyna Janda to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Polonia Theater, which she directs and stars in. She's currently starring in Witkacy's latest play, "Mother" (I've been there, I recommend it).
I couldn't have asked for a better guest to launch my podcast! A cinema and theater personality, and for me, a symbol of freedom, Krystyna Janda says she's no star because she works from morning to night, sleeps three hours a night, and would do anything for her sons.
"Some people don't like my acting, but I do!" she told me during our conversation, and revealed why, despite wanting to study fashion at the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź, she doesn't attend fashion shows. For most of us, Janda is "Interrogation"—the film for which the actress won the Palme d'Or at Cannes in 1990, although she claims it's not her life's work...
