History and pop culture join at Jerusalem’s Cinema City
Cinema City and Bible City combine modern-day movies and shopping with life-size stories and messages from the Bible.
“It is said that when you enter Cinema City you need a passport to come into the facility because it's like any other wonderful movie theater you find in Europe or America,” says Simmy Allen, the new Jerusalem complex’s international spokesman.
In addition to a cutting-edge 16-screen movie theater for first-run films, the complex features 62 scenes from the Bible – including a Noah’s Ark that kids can explore – suited to visitors of any faith, plus three children's Disney halls.
And on top of that, the complex has more than 50 restaurants in addition to clothing and electronic stores.
