what happens when you OVERDOSE THE SAFEST pain medication? will it kill you or just leave you suffering your whole life?
at end of this podcast you'll have all the answers about one of the safest drugs on earth

One of the safest painkillers in the world is acetaminophen which is also called Paracetamol, we usually see it in the pharmacy under different names Panadol, Tylenol, Advil and Adol. these are the exact same medicine made by different companies. t's like buying the exact same bread from two different bakeries
it's an analgesic and antipyretic drug, in normal terms it's basically used to temporarily relieve mild-to-moderate pain and fever. It is commonly included as an ingredient in cold and flu medications and is also used on its own as we mentioned before

Paracetamol is available over-the-counter, and also as a prescription medication. It depends if you’re taking on its own or with other meds.
As i said before, the main use for paracetamol is to relieve pain and fever you can use it for headache, migraine, backache, toothache common flu, sore throat, sinus pain and mild arthritis or osteoarthritis
That’s why you shouldn’t take paracetamol if you’re taking any other medication because it might be already included so you don’t want to get over the recommended dose
I usually do one of the segments, saying who should and should not take paracetamol for this video, saying that this is one of the safest painkillers. It’s actually advised to take it as long as you’re taking the recommended dose for your medical case.

let's talk about the doses
If you’re not sure how much paracetamol you should take..
Always take to the maximum dose of 60 mg/kilograms/day for those weighing 45 to 50 kg making the daily dose 2700–3000 mg a day.

If you feel that the symptoms are getting worse, please stop taking it and consult your doctor as I say always on this channel. Please consult your doctor before taking any medication or any supplements.

In case you missed a dose do not take a double dose, not speaking about paracetamol only, I’m speaking about all medicines in general just continue with your normal dose, adjust your time accordingly. And if you feel like you miss it by a long time, call doctor and ask them about the right approach, as they might increase the dose for a while, or just change it entirely depending on your case.

Saying that medication is entirely safe is actually wrong. I did not lie to you. It’s actually one of the safest ones but there’s no safe medication if you have allergies or if you overdoes with it, so what happens when you overdose with the safest painkiller?

the toxicity of paracetamol can cause serious damage to liver cells which can lead to something called liver or hepatic necrosis.
You’re a make cases of people trying to commit suicide taking 20 to 30 pills of paracetamol Can’t kill them, but can cause severe hepatic necrosis which can lead to acute liver failure at the end.
Twenty one suicidal attempt patients of paracetamol overdose were studied at a hospital between 2000-2002. They took between 10 and 90 tablets of paracetamol 500mg , but the amount of paracetamol in their blood didn't match what they took. because of vomiting after ingestion of large doses and individual absorption or properties of ingredient in each tablet., but only a few had serious liver damage, and they all survived.

The mild or not so serious side effects are usually rare unless you’re allergic to paracetamol, and the severity depends on the dose and the allergy that you have in general.

If you’re pregnant or breast-feeding, you should know that small amount of paracetamol into breast milk. That’s why you should always tell your healthcare provider or your doctor before taking paracetamol and try to stick to the lowest dose possible.
