A.I. Vader Has to Go - Escape Vader Fortnite Hands-On Impressions
Epic Games and Beyond Creative have released a new Lucasfilm-approved Creator Island mode in Fortnite, and it’s kind of a travesty. Despite lots of potential in a fun in-universe premise, the demand for Star Wars horror experiences, and some solid ideas, the execution and reuse of the AI-voiced Darth Vader NPC here is a total miss. Get generative AI out of games, do James Earl Jones justice with a paid voice actor (or no voice at all), and polish these kinds of experiences up a bit before unleashing them on the world. It’s hard to disappoint me with a Fortnite Star Wars collab, but this is heartbreaking.
