How can cultural and heritage institutions ethically and productively engage in Wikimedia activities such as contributing to Wikipedia articles, Wikidata items or Wikimedia Commons uploads?

Join this session to better understand the issues around GLAMs (galleries, libraries, archives and museums) declaring conflict of interests, navigating the Wikimedia terms of use and being transparent around wiki activities. This can be complex for newcomers (and existing users) so we are joined by:

Kelly Doyle, open knowledge coordinator at the Smithsonian Institution's American Women's History Initiative
Jan Ainali, of Wikimedia Sweden and IT consultant with deep experience in working with GLAMS
Andrew Lih, host, Wikimedia strategist, Metropolitan Museum of Art and Wikidata trainer for multiple GLAM organizations including OCLC, ALA and Museum Computer Network

Ask questions or send comments on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and we can respond to them live!
