About National Scholarship Portal (NSP)
National Scholarship Portal is the dedicated online scholarship portal of Government of India that hosts all the scholarship schemes implemented by both central and state governments. Introduced as the Mission Mode Project under the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP), the portal offers a simplified, mission-oriented, accountable, responsive and transparent system for effective disposal of the scholarships. The scholarships available on national scholarship portal are broadly categorized under three categories namely -
• Central Schemes
• UGC Schemes
• State Schemes
The key features of the portal include –
• Allows the students to check the eligibility of the scholarships
• Register and apply for the scholarships available
• Track the status of the scholarship application
