Ableton Live - Interactive Musical Gameshow Overview
Whose Bassline Is It Anyway is an exciting, fast paced, interactive musical game show created and hosted by Ableton Certified Trainers Tom Cosm and Davey Norris (Dizz1).
Instant engagement and procedural participation from the audience bring this 60 minute sonic extravaganza to life as participants progress from station to station, each adding a new and slightly more complex musical element to the forever evolving dub techno set as they gain an understanding of how live electronic collaboration and performance can work.
Each station’s operation is explained as the contestants take control, with help of a roaming host if they require additional instruction. Every 256 bars there’s a quick transition stage where contestants move up to the next level, having more control over the music.
Users accumulate points based on their participation, the more they learn and how well they listen to other users. At the end of their phrase, they have to play a final boss game, which multiplies their points dramatically, with their final total points determining how epic the drop is and adding them to the leaderboard.
Beginner to advanced, any level of user can get involved, working their way up from keying in a kick drum pattern to sequencing breakdowns and drops.
