Final Cut Pro X (FCPX) Effect: Color Assistant Plus a Tip for Color Adjustments in FCPX
Use Color Assistant (admittedly a trivial but light-weight effect) or similar filter as a Color correction/adjustment helper. Very helpful tip for those who miss Color Corrector 3-Way. You can turn off the effect by unchecking the Apply checkbox and just use it for the color picker with Color.

Sorry about the color picker thang... southerners speak by inflection -- they can say one thing inflected several different ways and mean entirely different things by it... take for example all the variations of "naked" to "*nekkid*" (italicized/emphasized.)
