One of the most common uses of display: flex; is to build responsive layouts without relying on floats, absolute positioning, or complex margin and padding hacks. When we apply display: flex; to a parent element, we are instructing the browser to arrange its child elements in a flexible and responsive way, either in a row (which is the default) or in a column, depending on the value of the flex-direction property.
