Best Image Format to use in LaTeX (LaTeX Tips/Solution- 28)
In this tutorial, we will see best image/graphics/figure format to use in latex. The vector and raster graphics will be highlighted for this purpose. Among several options including pdf, eps, png, and jpg, it has been suggested to use pdf as much as possible. The common preference can be given as:
1. EPS and PDF: for vector graphics
2. JPEG: for photos
3. PNG: for screenshots and some other kinds of raster graphics.
One should also make sure that the DPI is at least 300 for each figure.
