If you find yourself doing the same thing over and over in Jira, bulk changes might be just the thing for you! Be more productive and let Jira do the heavy lifting. Not only does this drastically improve your productivity (and sanity), but it's also less prone to human error. There are only two things that could get in your way:
🛑 Permissions
You will need 'Make bulk changes' permissions. Your admin can find these settings in the 'System settings', under 'Global permissions' in the left menu. They'll need to scroll to the bottom to grant the correct user group 'Make bulk changes' permission. Bulk change permissions can only be granted to user groups. A new user group may need to be created to accommodate this request for additional privileges. This can be found in the 'User management' section for admins.
🔍 Jira Filters/Search
You'll need to be comfortable searching for issues in Jira. Whether you are new to filters or just need a refresher, check out my video here: • Quickly find things in Jira - a guide...
