Hardest Boss Battles #3 HD - Dr. Ivo Robotnik (Sonic 2) Last Boss
The Final Boss from Sonic 2 is the Death Egg Robot aboard the Death Egg. Technically, a no hit run since you can't get hit at all during this boss fight. One hit and you're dead. This is also probably the fastest I've ever beat this boss so IT'S A NEW LAP RECORD!
Sonic 2 was the very the first game that I ever played and... my god it is still one of the best platformers out there and is far superior to Sonic 1 in my opinion. It's like Mega Man 2's transition from Mega Man 1. It just takes all the things great with the original, gets rid of the problems and polishes the gameplay.
Fun fact: This is not Metal Sonic in this video, it is Mecha Sonic that shows up again in Sonic 3.
