How to film a conference - Audience audio
This is the start of a mini training series I am creating to help new videographers learn about what to expect when filming a conference and how to get nice results to keep the work going.

Audience audio is difficult to capture due to the distance they are from your microphones and some clients request that we hear clearly their responses. Your shotgun mic will usually sound pretty terrible. Sometimes the venue will have their own wireless mics but it's good to have this setup when they don't. This is where I have found success by using a wireless hand held mic and working with a conference participant to hand the mic to each audience member who has a question or response.
