PLEASE READ BELLOW, ALSO CONSIDER READING THE PINNED COMMENT AS WELL!
In this video I documented my process of transferring to my new Nintendo Switch console. The process I did was to transfer WHILE KEEPING MY USER ON THE OLD CONSOLE. I've seen most videos on YouTube choose to delete the user from the source console, I did not want to do that so I decided to record my process so others could see it.
I explained the steps and the alternatives to some parts on the video as well. And of course i showed how to transfer your Animal Crossing New Horizons island, though its pretty straight forward in my opinion.
Here's a time stamp of the different parts of the video, you can go to each if you want to skip a part you might be familiar with:
0:00 Intro
1:21 Stuff to do before transfer
3:35 Configure the new console
5:07 Logging into your Nintendo Account
6:40 Transfering your game data
11:35 Configuring the primary console
14:05 Transfering your Animal Crossing island
19:59 Tip on how to download your stuff easier
20:33 Moving your SD card to the new console
23:23 Updating your games on the new console
25:03 End
Also here's the article about some games NOT supported by NSO cloud saves, I didn't manage to find a page from Nintendo's website but this will do for now, then again remember you can check on the console if its not supported:
