How to stop users copying PDF content and sharing PDF files with others.
Safeguard PDF Security provides many ways to prevent a PDF being copied.
1. Prevents copy and paste - users cannot copy content so they cannot paste it into other applications.
2. Prevents printing - stop users printing PDF documents so they cannot distribute printed copies. If you want to allow printing, then to discourage sharing of printed copies you shoud add dyanmic watermarks.
3. Prevents screenshots - stops users using screen grabbing tools to take high quality screenshots, and a screen mask can be displayed when focus is moved from the Viewer window to stop users typing text in another application.
4. Dynamic watermarks can be displayed showing user information to deter photos being taken or photocopies distributed of printed content.
5. Locks protected PDF files to devices so they cannot be shared with others.
Safeguard does not use passwords to protect PDFs but instead uses transparent and secure key management to deliver decryption keys to authorized devices. Keys are stored in a keystore that is locked to the device. There are no passwords for users to share or remove.
Unlike weak PDF permissions or restrictions, Safeguard uses DRM controls, encryption, licensing, and secure Viewers, to ensure your PDF copy protection controls cannot be easily removed.
