What is it God has called you to do? And what are His desires for your life? Get steps to align your heart with God’s will. Keeping your heart aligned with God’s Word actually aligns your mind with God’s thoughts.
When you need answers to difficult questions and to navigate difficult circumstances, align your heart first, and your head (thoughts and mind) will follow.
HOW IT WORKS…
You are made up of a spirit, soul, and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Your spirit, being made new in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17), is always in alignment with the Spirit of God (Romans 7:17).
However, the flesh (the carnal mind) is always at enmity with God (Romans 8:7-9). Therefore, there is a natural pull away from God.
The good news is because the Spirit of God dwells in you, you are made alive in Christ and can put to death the deeds of the flesh and be led by the Spirit.
This is the process of aligning your heart with God’s!
HERE’S THE KEY…
Ask God to search your heart. David wrote, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” When you allow God to search your heart, and He reveals any offense and rebellion, and you repent (turn to Him and ask Him to cleanse you), you are aligning your heart with His.
It is then that He will lead you further into His will.
