The functional prototype of the Pulse Oxymeter version 2.0 was developed by College of Engineering Trivandrum with financial aid of CET Alumni: the batches of EC & AEI 1994 and 2003.
It is a joint effort of the EC and ME departments.

The following alumni were actively involved in the development process of version 2.0 :
Mr. Mohammed Rabin (2015 AEI), Mr. Aaron Xavier (2019 EEE), Mr. Ganesh S. (2019 ME), Mr. Sashwat K. (2020 MCA), Mr. Akhil A.B. (2020 AEI) and Mr. Rohil Nair (2021 AR).
Mr.Adarsh S. (2020 ECE) and Gibcen K.Baby (2018 EEE) assisted in assembling the version 1.2 of the device.

CET faculty members Prof. Jayakrishnan G. (Prof. and HoD, ECE), Dr. James T.G. , Dr. Binu LS and Prof. Joaquim Ignatius Monteoro of EC, Prof. Vikas of ME and Sri. Joy P. (Instructor Grade II, ECE) were at the forefront of this project to realise and procure components for the Oxymeter.

The version 1.2 was 3D printed in our college by Prof. Shafeek and Prof. Ajith R R and the version 2.1 of this device is being built from scratch. A design team of faculty members and alumni led by our Principal Dr. Jiji C.V. are currently on this task.
