Before we attempt a migration, let's prepare our website. We need to make sure that:
1. We're running the latest stable version of WordPress;
2. All our plugins and themes are up-to-date; and
3. Our existing site is fully backed up (just in case!)
Two good WordPress plugins I recommend for backups are:
