Yosemite Park: Your Essential Guide
Let's get this straight to the point. I want to tell you that Yosemite Park is located 4.5 hours from Los Angeles and 3 hours from San Francisco. If you're coming from Los Angeles, the closest town, which is where I recommend staying, is called Oakhurst. And if you're coming from San Francisco, the ideal town to stay is Mariposa. This is in case you're not staying inside the park, which is possible, and I'll tell you more about that later.
Park admission costs $35 per vehicle, and I recommend purchasing it online at the park's official website. All you have to do is pay and enter your license plate number. They don't accept cash at the park entrance.
From the moment you enter, you'll begin to see otherworldly landscapes.
Be careful, because, as I said, the park is huge, and the distance between the main points of interest is very long. I recommend bringing your car full of gas (although there is a gas station inside the park). The main points of interest are the following:
• The giant sequoias of Mariposa Grove.
• Vernal Falls.
• Glacier Point.
• Tunnel View.
• El Capitan.
• Yosemite's waterfalls.
• And Cathedral Peak.
The first point we visited was Glacier Point. From here, you can see beautiful snow-covered mountains and fabulous waterfalls. This part of the park is generally closed during the winter due to the danger of ice.
At several points in the park, there are small restaurants and shops where you can buy souvenirs of your visit. Apart from water, we didn't bring anything to eat, and that day we lived off sandwiches and drinks, and at nightfall, we went to dinner at a hotel very close to the park.
At each point of interest, you will have the option of taking ecological hikes. It is important to note that if you visit the park in a single day, you won't have much time to do these hikes. However, everything you can see at each point of interest is beautiful and indescribable.
I want to tell you that, if you're an adventurous explorer, you have the option of staying within the park in hotels, small cabins, or tents, in specific areas. If that's your choice, and you can contemplate the immensity of the park in 2 or 3 days, be careful not to leave food in your vehicles, as hungry bears are everywhere and can break your car windows. There are also free buses that tour various points of interest.

Aside from the beautiful sounds of the park, you'll be able to get up close and personal with the wildlife, teeming with bears, lynxes, foxes, and beautiful birds. Under no circumstances should you feed the park's animals...respect their habitat...remember that you are the visitor and they are the owners of this beautiful place.

In conclusion, I really enjoyed this visit. I spent the entire day in the park and I highly recommend it.
