Three female students at Terara 1 Junior High School (SMPN 1 Terara) have become the focus of attention after a viral video of a "Bandung" (Free Nutritious Meal) went viral in East Lombok. The video featured a review of a Free Nutritious Meal menu with unethical language that sparked a response from netizens. In response, the East Lombok Women and Children Protection (PPA) Unit visited Terara 1 Junior High School to seek information and monitor the psychological well-being of the three students. The mediation session at the school on Friday, October 10, 2025, was attended by the Sikur Police Chief, the Sikur Sub-district Head, the Military District Commander, the PPA Unit, and school officials.
The Head of Selong's PPA Unit, Yuliani, explained that their visit was for counseling because the students were also victims of their environment. Assessment results showed that the three students did not experience severe trauma. The PPA Unit will continue counseling to increase their vigilance in the digital space. The Principal of Terara 1 Junior High School, Moh. Zaini, emphasized social media coaching and cross-stakeholder discussions to prevent bullying, while also citing the students' cell phone presence as a mistake; the video was made for fun and ultimately went viral.
