A keyboard that has been long in the making. The Tind by Mekanisk is a isolation mount 60% that sports a whopping 12 mounting points padded by silicon on both the bottom and top case. This is the ultra premium board sold by raffle thru the Mekanisk website. I had the pleasure of building this board for a friend and I must say this is a fantastic looking and sounding board.
The chamfers on this thing really does grab your attention. Typing wise its a great board from what you expect of Mekanisk. They have always put out quality boards and the Tind does not shy from their tried and tested formula. While I don't want to delve into the science of the board too much, I can confirm that the typing experience is snappy and responsive. I do wish however I could try this board with a softer plate.
Acoustically the switches do a lot of the leg work. The switches in these are Cherry's new hyperglide blacks. While smooth you can definitely tell that they are a bit scratchy. These have a very light application of 205g0 to the housings only. All-in-all it was a great board to build (I love how the gaskets were already pre-installed) and look forward on getting the chance to type on more Mekanisk boards. The Klippe T was my first high end board and will forever hold a soft spot in my heart.
