Cloning Hyper-V VMs
In this video I show you how to save time recreating a fresh and unique Install of Server2012 with the export-import technique in Hyper-V. A new unique identifier is given to each new install (import).
This technique can also be applied to Windows 10 Enterprise computers as well as Server2012 with roles installed. You must however be mindful of the Windows Unique Identifier and how it will affect interaction in the domain (upon import you have the option of preserving the unique identifier or creating a new one.) Be mindful of if the computer has joined a domain or not. With an export-import you are creating the VM in a particular configuration with a particular Identifier.
