Photoshop AI Generative Fill is a great tool but as we know it's not 100% ready... yet... AI FILL has serious issues with softness because it cannot create grain... Or better said it only creates low resolution fills.
But you can work around it and fix the issue-at-hand. Just follow these steps:
1. Create New layer
2. Fill with 50% gray
3. Add noise
4. Copy Layer mask from AI layer and change blending mode to Linear Light
5. Zoom in and add Gaussian blur
6. That's it
BONUS TIP 1: You can also use Camera Raw Filter's grain and Smart Object for non destructive editing (finetune and edit grain/noise again).
BONUS TIP 2: For selecting multiple AI areas at the same time and use one noise layer for all them, click Layer masks with CMD/CTRL + SHIFT.
BONUS TIP 3: You can get "high resolution" look by generatibg 1024 pixel areas one-by-one. This is time consuming but can give you better results if you have patience for that.
