Hi. I'm Annie Sheffield. I'm one of the creators and instructors of the Becoming a Moodle Wizard Course along with the master Moodler, Michelle Moore.
I want to take a second to introduce you to this course to help you become a confident, connected, and empowered Moodler. My teaching background is in biology. I teach my students that it's important to thoroughly understand the tools and equipment that you use in the lab so that you can know the possibilities these tools offer you. The same principle applies with your course creation tools.
The Moodle learning management system was created on principles of constructionism. That means that the Moodle tools were designed to help learners learn in a community by creating things of value in meaningful context. Moodle is a very powerful learning platform that can enable you to create courses to fit a wide variety of needs.
If you've ever created in Moodle, you may agree that all the options and controls can be a bit daunting. The purpose of this Moodle Wizard course is to help you understand the tools in Moodle so you can create unique, specialized courses.
If you understand how to properly use the tools in Moodle and combine that with a little elbow grease and creativity, we think you can make magical things happen.
