In this video we will learn how to calculate weighted Average in excel using SUMPRODUCT and SUM function in excel.
The SUMPRODUCT function in Excel calculates the product of all the arrays passed to it as arguments. The SUM function in Excel simply adds up all the numbers passed to it as arguments.
In our example, we will have two arrays: one with student grades and another with the weights associated with those grades. We want to find the weighted average of the grades.
Write an article about how weighted average is a way of combining grades from different courses. Let's say you want to calculate your GPA using weighted average, but you have taken four college level courses and two high school level grades.
Using weighted average, the grades from each course are added together and then each grade is assigned a weight or value. The weighted average is then calculated by multiplying each grade by its weight and then adding together all of the weighted grades.
