At 9:30 AM in Kashgar, even the sunlight woke up earlier than we did ☀️.
The taxi drove towards the east gate of the old city, where a massive crowd had already packed the entrance, as if the entire city was awaiting an "opening ceremony." The sound of drums, the Silk Road atmosphere, and ethnic dances made us feel as if we had traveled back in time to the starting point of the Silk Road ✨.
With the narration, we truly understood this city for the first time:

After the opening ceremony, we followed the crowd through the gate, the air filled with the aroma of freshly baked buns. We couldn't resist going inside and having a freshly baked one; the crispy exterior and fragrant interior, steaming hot, instantly soothed all our fatigue 🥟🔥.
Continuing deeper into the alleyways, the porcelain in the flowerpot bazaar gleamed, children raced through the lanes, aunties chatted at their doorways, and kids waved to us—the vibrant atmosphere made it hard to leave quickly 👋.
The clanging of hammers in the blacksmith's bazaar was one of Kashgar's most resounding sounds. Each strike of the blacksmith's hammer seemed to resonate with the heartbeat of the ancient city 🔨✨.
Walking along the Khan Bazaar to the square, camels stood serenely and majestically in the sunlight, as if waiting for the next traveler to enter their story 🐪.
Finally, from a higher vantage point, we saw the childhood of the old city's children—the rooftops, the eaves, the laughter… soft moments unique to Kashgar.
This day, though lacking in extravagance, was brimming with warmth.
Kashgar Old City truly deserves to be rediscovered every morning 💛.
