INCREDIBLE adventures on the Phoenix 560 boat. A trip down the Volga.
Our Moscow - Dubna - Kimry - Kalyazin - Uglich - Myshkin - Koprino Bay - Vesyegonsk boat trip took place in September 2019. We used three Phoenix 560 boats, chartered by Velkhod. The trip lasted a week, from September 7th to 14th. We departed from the Moscow River Port (MRP) around 3 PM and traveled along the Moscow Canal toward the first lock (Dubna). Our first long stop along the way was the first lock (Dubna), which we reached after dark after passing through five locks and a couple of ferry crossings in the Moscow Canal. While we sat and waited for the locks to clear, we watched the Khabib-Conor fight! After passing the first lock, at 1:00 AM we headed toward Kimry, where we stopped for the night. I don't know about others, but as I was moving from the first lock to Kimry, I couldn't get Lyudmila Zykina's song "From far away, for a long time... the Volga River flows" out of my head. We spent the night in Kimry at the "Two Captains" hotel. The next morning, we headed towards Koprino. The only stop that day was on the Zhabnya River at the "Paluba" club. We didn't manage to get through the Uglich lock "in a hurry," but the wait wasn't long. We looked at Uglich and Myshkin from the water. We arrived in Koprino after dark, where the third Phoenix 560 joined us. It gets dark early in September, but it seemed pretty early, so we still had time to go to the bathhouse. In the morning, we set out for Vesyegonsk. Rybinka greeted us warmly, with a dead calm. We spent two days in Vesyegonsk, at the "Aleksandrovsky Prichal" base. I recommend visiting the Vesyegonsk Winery for anyone visiting. There's a showroom at the winery. We did a lot of fishing, but as usual, the fish were caught yesterday and tomorrow. From Vesyegonsk, we headed back, stopping overnight in Koprino and Dubna near sunken barges. Along the way, we passed through the cities of Dubna, Kimry, Kalyazin, Myshkin, and Vesyegonsk. During the trip, we used 502 liters of gas on the boat))) Life on the water is wonderful, and I recommend it to you too...
A great film about our journey from Moscow to St. Petersburg. After the six episodes were released, people started saying it would be great if it were all one film and with more of your voiceover.
