In this video we test the difference between adding a fill light to your photographs vs simply adding fill light by lifting the shadows in Lightroom. Fill light is often used by professional photographers to open up the shadows and increase the amount of dynamic range in their images. While adding fill light on set and during the time of capture requires the use of additional flashes, does the resulting image look significantly better than simply pulling up the shadows in Photoshop or Lightroom? Today we test these two approaches to see which one is best.
