In this video we demonstrate how to locate the incoming and outgoing bandwidth limits for your Hikvision NVR or DVR by using a data sheet. Once those thresholds are identified, we can use the Hikvision Storage and Network Calculator to ensure your security cameras are not putting out more bandwidth (Kbps) than your NVR or DVR can process. Once we determine the frames per second (FPS), resolution (2MP,4MP,4K, etc.) and encoding mode (H.264, H.264+, H.265, etc.), we can establish suitable Kbps settings per camera to ensure you do not exceed NVR or DVR bandwidth limits.
