We Are Not Good People, a manifesto regarding the inexistence of Altruism. Merriam Webster defines Altruism as, “Unselfish regard for, or devotion to the welfare of others”. It labels altruism as its own form of motivation in the example sentence, “charitable acts motivated purely by altruism”. This definition claims that there exists no real motivation behind altruistic acts beyond for goodness’ sake. This is not true! Do not listen!
