Do you know why Sourav Ganguly removed his shirt at Lord's balcony in 2002?
The shirt-swirling celebration of Sourav Ganguly at the Lord's balcony after India won the Natwest Series in 2002 has become a part of Indian cricketing folklore. But do you know why Ganguly did that? And do you know VVS Laxman tried to stop Ganguly from removing the shirt?
Why did he remove his shirt "The idea came to my mind just at the moment. I remembered how Andrew Flintoff took off his shirt at Wankhede to celebrate a 3-3 series draw before, and I just thought why not do the same at Lord's," Ganguly said.
India and England will face again in February 2021. Fans are expecting something similar as seen in Natwest Series 2002
