Applying a Tinted Wax Finish
The advantage of a painted finish on a project is that it really accentuates the shape and form of different parts like you see on this stool I recently completed. However, paint can feel a little one note - just a flat color. To bring a little more dimension and some tones into it, one easy way would be to apply a tinted wax over the paint.
