FDWB - Muddy lane question - adding rock & fabric?
This is not a how-to video. I'm posting it in some forums to get some feedback.
TL;DW : Can I use a perforated tarp as a geotextile fabric? Using this shortcut, what are some pitfalls? What are some advantages?
When the road was being rebuilt nearby, I asked the crew to dump the excess dirt on my lane. I spread it out to widen the entrance to the lane. The original part of the lane is muddy, but there is a rock bed underneath. The part that is widened is dirt only, and I'm considering laying down tarp and perforating it before putting down rock.
Current idea would be:
Remove some dirt
Lay down tarp & perforate it
cover with dirt
Bring in large rock
Pack it down
Cover with smaller rock
Pack and be done?
