LAN1 and LAN2 in Doss NVRs
In this video, we look at the use of multiple network cards and associated IP addresses in the Doss IQ NVRs.
Main points:
Some NVRs (particularly our IQ series) have two network cards - one for the internal PoE ports, and one for the rest of the network
Any cameras that you connect to the internal PoE switch need to have IP addresses that suit LAN2's details
Any cameras connected into the wider network, through external PoE switches or injectors need to have IP address details that suit LAN1
This is normally done to reduce overall network traffic by having some of the cameras only talking with the NVR, not with each other, and not with the wider network
