My Go To Backpacking Shelter/Sleep System | A Collaboration
Hammock camping is still by far the most comfortable sleep system or backpacking shelter that I have ever used. Don't worry! But in this video I go over my go to backpacking shelter/sleep system when I don't have any trees around. Those of you who follow my channel will recognize the components of my hammock camping setup. In this video you will see why I chose the gear that I have in my ground dwelling setup.
I use the warbonnet big mamajamba as the tarp, tyvek as a ground sheet, my dream hammock darien becomes a bug bivy, the thermarest neoair xtherm is my sleeping pad and I use the Enlightened Equipment Enigma 20 degree top quilt as my "sleeping bag." Hope this overview of my gear helps explain why I chose what I have.
