Comet & Aurora gazing in Jyväskylä
Weekend of the 16th and 17th of March, 2013.
On Saturday evening the Comet C/2011 L4 (aka PANSTARRS) and faint auroras were observed. On Sunday evening an intense geomagentic storm (originated on the previous Friday) hits our Planet, creating beautiful, multicolored Aurorae Borealis (known in Finland as "revontulet"). The skies in the city are rather light polluted, but some sky phenomena are just meant to be observed!
The trained eye can detect the Andromeda galaxy on the upper right corner around minute 0:53.
