I lost my first match at grapple kings and unfortunately picked up a foot injury, I wasnt fast enough to tap.
I did however move well and set up some of my specialty finishes but unfortunately lost the position and the match.
as the match starts he pulls gaurd.
I backstep and sit into the saddle, from here my goal is the kneebar (yes I know, the heel hook is right there)
I use the saddle to come up on top and aim for the high elbow guillotine, then switch to the darce/anaconda after he defends the choke.
at some point he slips away from the darce and manages to get a great grip for a straight ankle lock.
I'm prone to injury in my ankle so I was already preparing to tap when I felt a pop in my foot, on the outside , widest point of my left foot.
he finished it perfectly and I was naturally disappointed but once I'm healed after a couple weeks rest , I'll get back to it and hopefully compete at the end of April 23.
