Part 2 of my 3 part macro series. In this video we'll create a custom macro for attack rolls (we'll cover damage in the next one), and a generic roll for any roll that a GM may ask of you. Again, if you're having trouble following along, let me know. It takes me about 15 minutes to build a complete set of custom macros for your character, so don't be shy, just come find me. For those that prefer to try it on their own, here they are:
Attack roll Macro:
-roll an attack with no modifiers to get your static bonuses (all numbers added to the d20)
-review the Feats and special abilities section of your character sheet to see if you have variable abilities that you can choose to apply to your attack roll.
-Prepare to create the variable bonuses using the format "?{*Describe the variable bonus so you understand when/how to use it*|*insert a default value for the variable bonus, ideally the number most commonly used*}"
-in the action box of the macro replace starred info with your character specific info and enter:
/r 1d20+*enter all static bonuses seperated by "+", or "-"*+*insert any variable bonuses again separated by "+", or "-"*+?{Additional atk Modifiers|0}
-in the end you should have an equation that looks similar to this with your own values substituted in:
/r 1d20+3+4+?{Arcane Enhancement|1}+?{Spell Combat|0}+?{Additional Hit modifiers|0}
Generic Roll Macro:
-enter in the macro action box:
/r ?{Number of dice|1}d?{Type of dice: d_|6}+?{Modifiers|0}
