REWS (30 April 2024) : Thesis Development - Traditional And ChatGPT Based
In this round of Research Enhanced Workshop Series presentation,
Dr. Thavamaran Kanesan shared some slides on the topic : "Thesis Development: Traditional and ChatGPT Based".
This workshop focuses on producing Master/PhD Level Proposal/Thesis with a detailed table of contents for thesis development to avoid Graduating-After-Time.
Concurrently, the class also paves way to precisely prepare for Defense and Viva. In addition, audience was presented with how literature searches and reviews can be performed using AI and non-AI methods.
This workshop was open to all research postgraduates and academics of the USM.
About The Speaker:
Thavamaran completed his Ph.D. in 2 years and 11 months, solely founded Proofreading by a UK Ph.D., which now employs over 113 consultants worldwide and serves clients in 34 countries.
His impressive research record includes over 70 publications in top journals and conferences, with a significant academic following on social media platforms. He serves official consultancy for various universities, Governmental and Private Organizations zations, notably MABMS, UPNM, UiTM, UMK JEB, USIM, UPM, UKM Social Science, and OZZIE AMDHS.
Apart from his entrepreneurship journey, his career spans roles in prestigious Aston Institute of Photonic Technologies, Birmingham (UK) as a postdoctoral researcher and worked in Multi-million Pounds Projects within European FP7 and EPSRC Consortiums and as a technical manager at Telekom Malaysia and directly managed 24 members of technical staffs. He has secured over RM 237 million in research grants and earned multiple awards, including recognition as one of Malaysia's Successful People and Researcher-of-the- Year awards.
