Nostalgia for Paradise so as to Know Our End - Orthodox Christian Sermon
We begin our Lenten journey with the realization that we have lost intimacy with God. Although God had set forth everything that we could possibly need: companionship, lordship of the garden of Eden, the power of being made in His image to stand mediating between Heaven and Earth, we, unfortunately, thought we were missing out on something. We chose the created things rather than the Creator.
