मेघनाद' या इन्द्रजीत रावण के पुत्र का नाम है। अपने पिता की तरह यह भी स्वर्ग विजयी था। इंद्र को परास्त करने के कारण ही ब्रह्मा जी ने इसका नाम इन्द्रजीत रखा था। इसका नाम रामायण में इसलिए लिया जाता है क्योंकि इसने राम- रावण युद्ध में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई थी।
