This was my first time picking up a film camera. I got it for Christmas in 1979 and spent 1980 making films and trying animation. Not too bad for first try, but be sure to see my much improved animation at    • My Favorite Animations (with Sound)  , using an actual animation camera. I also had a lot of focus problems - entire shots out of focus. I remember such a tiny little view finder.

Anyway, just to let you know. This camera was not an animation camera, i.e., it didn't have single frame capability. So for 3 decades (going on 4 soon), this has been horribly choppy animation. I would flick the camera button in an attempt to get as few frames as possible for each shot (when it should be one, of course).

Here in 2017, I decided to go into the footage and remove those extra frames, clean them up as best I could, color correct, and add some sound. It does show that I didn't do enough increments in the clay models, but I got a lot better when my parents then got me the animation camera a year later. However, this project gives gives this footage a whole new life, 37years later! Better late than never.
