Capital Drift: Western's Last Dance
Well it was an amazing run. In this video we say goodbye to our home Western speedway. Over 120 drivers showed up to take their last laps at this amazing race track. we were driving from 10am to 9pm and ended the night off with track wide burnouts, donuts and a party.
20 car trains, wheel to wheel tandems, and a ferries load of smiles and tears.
Capital Drift is not gone and still operates some events up at Saratoga Motorsports Park, but the home for us and the Island drivers is now gone. If anyone sees drivers from "The Island" show up at your local track make it a point to say hi and ask them about what they had here in Victoria. The level of technical skill, friendliness, and overall great vibes makes the "Island style" of drifting one of the best groups and communities I have seen.
I am glad to have been apart of this community for the better part of my life and will miss it. Thank you to all who has helped make Capital Drift known across Canada and parts of the PNW.
