Calling Air Traffic Control
It all started with an isolated vocal track, each artist writing their own song using the same vocal. Those two renditions were mixed together into one track . Since they have their own musical style, each section stands out like its own song, yet beautifully compliments each other . It starts off as acoustic indie style with catchy hooks and an upbeat tempo, then morph’s into a dreamlike state of this song . A dream in distant sound of the first song perhaps ? Mark’s version is indie folk/pop while Melissa’s is rather neo-psychedelic, featuring an electronic beat, synths, piano and textural ambience. In the third and final section, Melissa and Mark sing together in a minimalist style over acoustic guitar to complete the song.
