Generators help speed up your workflow! A rope like this can be used with low resolutions as background props or in very high detail and high resolution for close-up shots as well, making this a very useful asset.
Although 2 materials are discussed, this can actually be expanded upon to create various other sci-fi textures and even abstract renders as well, so do try and test out your imagination accordingly!
