The Kooikerhondje was developed in the 16th century as a tolling dog. To those who do not know them, the Kooikerhondje appears similar to many of the other spaniels and retrievers in the Gun Dog class. However, its “hunting” tactics are actually unlike that of any other dog in the Gun Dog category.
