Specifications for Cat 6 and Cat 6A shield plugs are generally:
Wire conductors typically have four high and four low "stumble"

The reason for this design is physical compatibility. The size of the outer RJ45 plug is defined according to ANSI / TIA specifications, but the wire thickness of the shielded cable (Cat6 or Cat6A) is often very thick. If all conductors are placed like eight fully secured gate 6 or gate 5e plugs, they have no place.

The bonus advantage of stumbling conductors is that they reduce cross-section. As the Ethernet cable frequency exceeds 350 MHz, Crostock is starting to become a particular concern. The body design of the plug is also good if it reduces the cross-sectional event.

Most of these protected plugs cannot be stopped with a standard crimp tool. The cause is related to the lack of a strain latch built into the plug. This plastic latch, found on the back of most RJ45 plugs, presses on the cable jacket during the crimping / termination process, preventing the cable from being accidentally pulled out. The thicker shielded cable and especially the thicker outer shielded cable are so large that there is no room for that strain latch. Unfortunately, most standard RJ45 crimp tools have a strain latch pressure bar. In the absence of a rectangular cut-out, that press bar will crush the RJ45 plug. This means you need a termination tool that does not have a strain latch pressure bar (or is capable of deviating). That tool is shown in this blog.

To accommodate the largest outer diameter shielded cables, the gate 6 and gate 6A shield plugs typically have an outer ground tab. This is where the drain wire connects to the metal of the tab on the ground and lands the cable as electricity.
